NSPS- PART 9901- SECTION F- Please leave the current Reduction In Force rules alone under the old system. I have 20 years of government service and I feel this new system would be very detrimental. A new employee with less seniority would be able to keep their job while a person who has spent their career dedicated to government service would be let go. To me, that is totally unfair to current federal employess. I have been involved in RIF and one time was very close to being let go as I did not have the tenure then. Comment: I also believe the individual pay increases for performance will hurt employees as some employees are viewed as better by management, while others are not- it is a judgment thing. I have seen this many times in my career and it is just human nature, but this system will hurt most federal employees.
