The Civil Service system has worked well for everyone. The perception of fairer treatment for employees under this new system is a misnomer. This NSPS is placing people at the mercy of biased supervisors. A supervisor with a personal agenda will be free to remove employees without consideration of their capabilities and replace them with individuals of their liking. If I were not under the Civil Service protection right now, my present supervisor would have replaced me when she first arrived. When this supervisor brought a friend from overseas, he was placed in a contractor's position - both supervisor and contract employee are striving to determine just how they can oust me from my civil service position. Determining to destroy my credibility and subjecting me to blatant discrimination has been her main objective. Donald Rumsfeldt should never have been given the power to do what he is doing. Actual caring about fair treatment for the individual is totally missing.
