I am responding to the proposed NSPS changes coming to the DoD. I have been a DoD employee for 17.5 years. The proposed changes to the personnel system are horrible. It is a step back in time to allow a manager to control the entire pay future of an employee. There are already many subjective areas in which a manager deals with their employees. To put an employees total future in the hands of one manger is barbaric. No one manager should have that much power. Our government was built on checks and balances. That is supposed to be what keeps us afloat. Going back to one person being the lone measure stick on the duties/work of an employee is not acceptable. Our best interests are not being met here. A toatally subjective system is not good for the overall work force. Please do not take away the rights that others fought to get for us. None of this has anythign to do with National Security. We are going the way of other countries. Those that do not learn their history are destined to repeat it!
