Can I adjust to change, yes. Will the new system be rampant with the "good ol boy network” you bet. We know, we work here. Is the United States losing face with the world? With out a doubt! Other nations laugh at us. We are the country that lies to our soldiers, veterans, civil servants and citizens and routine business is breech of promise anytime it suites the current administration. Our elected officials are so intent upon looking good to other countries, handing out our citizen’s tax dollars to "fix" life in another country while ignoring the fact that our country is in desperate times! What other nation in the world would let its own citizens do without health care or their own children have poor schools and education and provide for another country instead first. NONE! Our people have sacrificed enough! Next up to bat is Social Security! Yet another breech of promise on the horizon! Some one up there needs to get a clue! It does not take a rocket scientist to see what is going on here and the American public is not as stupid as folks in Washington would like to think. I believe the stats on this went something like 14 workers in the beginning of Social Security for every recipient. In 1998, it had dropped to something like 6 workers to each recipient. In 2004, it was 3 working per recipient. Yep that would be about right. Once you gut the civil service system those numbers are going to be in a negative! Why - well how about this clue. If we are sending all of our industrial jobs over seas and allowing US owned companies to make money while starving the American worker it would seem that one of two things needs to happen. The worker overseas who gets the job needs to have funds deducted to pay into our social security system so the aged, ill, and handicapped American citizens who depended on this system are taken care of or return the jobs to this country! My God – what is going on in our country! As long as we allow US jobs to be sent overseas and to other countries we are headed down a road to destruction. Our country cannot be the do all, be all for the world! We do not need to worry about another country marching onto our shores, or chemical warfare, terrorists’ bombings that will destroy us. Our own government is destroying America as you read this. The destruction of our country is coming from inside its own halls of beuracacy. I hope and pray to God that someone that reads this looks into the mirror and ask themselves if they can be the one that stands up and says enough and takes a stand against this insidious disease that has become rampant in our nation for greed and power. Stop this insanity and return America to her years of pride of the American worker. Those who seek to do this are no better than Sadam. He tortured and killed his people. Our own elected officials are doing the same to the civil servant and American public in this push for reform and outsourcing. They are torturing us mentally with the constant threat of job loss, retirement loss, the loss of security in our winter years! Broken promises, lies. It is killing us every day another American has a stroke or heart attack, kills a spouse or child because the pressure is becoming too much. We are being treated in a malice and unjust way. It is just packaged differently. America --- deserves better. This I know and take solace in. Every decision maker on the NSPS, Social Security, and Fair Trade Agreement will have to stand before their maker in the end. You might want to ask yourself this question. “Will be victory be worth the price you will pay when all is said and done?” Were you, your brother’s keeper? You will one day, alone, stand before God.
