We as government workers are about to face one of the most disturbing change in history under the newly proposed National Security Personnel System (NSPS). It does nothing more than put the "employee" at the mercy of the Secretary of Defense. It allows for little to no protection for the employee. DoD workers will be subjected to dictatorship by which, no method of due process is afforded. Employees will be removed for the sole purpose of providing employment to managements' family members, friends and those who are a loyalist to DoD and the Secretary of Defense, instituting and promoting once again nepotism. I am a Federal employee of the Department of Defense, and I am extremely concerned that our congress has empowered the Secretary of Defense in a manner, which allows him to be a dictator under the disguise of national security. The imposition of NSPS has created a system, by which, takes the rights of employees and their unions to effectively represent labor issues. This need for "flexibility" has been in effect for many years without adversely impacting the Department of Defense. The necessity to subject and interrupt the livelihood of our dedicated and most trustworthy government employees is ludicrous. I do not support this (NSPS). The bottom line is we can clearly see that the Secretary of Defense will take one way or another undermined the civil service worker from their hard earned money, earning potential and or retirements from the working force that gives a great deal of their lives whom are mostly somehow affiliated with our military working men and women, by being spouses, retired, or former military members that are continuing to give back by providing their knowledge, skills and experiences to our country through civil service. The bargaining has never in the history of Labor-Management relations adversely impacted this country's national security. This whole idea of this NSPS is clearly for management and it is appalling that you think we are just going to sit and take it. I am saddened that greed has taken over the Secretary of Defense. I am opposed to every aspect of the NSPS, For God's sake and for National Security leave the Civil Service alone, it is not broken!!!!!!!!!!!
