I have some major concerns about the new personnel system. Giving that much power to one person is a big mistake. Even being a good, hard working employee won't do any good if your supervisor doesn't like you. There are people who do a good job, but don't get along with their supervisor and now you'll be giving them the power to get rid of an employee they don't like, or never give them a raise, even if they have 25+ years with the Government. I've already been held back from being promoted because I always get a terrible appraisal. I always get a monetary award, but when added up, the number total has never been more than 65. If I'm such an awful worker why do I get a monetary award? This is the only place I've had problems because the supervisor is a micromanaging dictator who has made quite an empire for himself. All I can hope now is that I get away from this supervisor and get another job before all of this takes place, otherwise I'm absolutely positive that I will be fired. Who makes sure the managers are doing their jobs, because in our case he has everyone fooled about how indispensable he is?
