1. Taking away our seniority rights is a travesty. Personally, I have worked for over 35 years, and I took my turn in being the low timer. The thought that somebody who is brand new can come in and be awarded higher grades with no argument is abusive to those of us who have been dillegent and faithful in our duties and tried to work our way up. 2. Putting contol over our entire careers to supervisors is laughable. Do they honestly believe that the supervisors of today are unbiased, excellent employees looking out for the interest of the people below them? Do they truly believe they are well educated in labor relations and good sound leadership? A lot of the supervisors it has been my experience to work with got their positions by being KICKED UPSTAIRS because they received high appraisals so they would hit profiles and be promoted out of the area and out of that areas hair. Now all of these people are over us. My supervisors are no more forward thinking than to get their yes men and women in good positions to make them look better. . We had a person on our base that had the highest Whole Person score of everyone. This person is not the most exellent person, in fact he had been in wellknown trouble many times. The powers over him sent him to every long and short term schooling they could, just to keep him busy and out of their area and out of trouble. The people who worked hard and dilligently were not afforded the oportunity to attend the same classes because they could not be spared. Of course this person is now the supervisor of these people because they had low Whole Person scores when the promotions came out. Why do you think this person got the job? Because he looked like a highly educated and eager employee. Bottom line, the person was again KICKED UPSTAIRS! It is disgusting. They already control our appraisals which are not addressed properly anyway. Favorites are favorites no matter how hard we try. This new system just gives them control over our economic life now. Who is going to control the supervisors? If we let them get away with putting us under this system it will be an easy way for them to start replacing us with contractors also. We will have no right as employees and there will be nothing in place to stop them from letting us go. I worry a lot about what is going to happen to the loyal employees that care about what happens. Every person I have tried to teach in the last 10 years has no desire to do a thorough and excellant job. Just to get by. The new system will reward people like this as long as they get along with the boss, dress to someones desire, talk a good yarn and possibly play a good golf game!
