The new pay system need to address the seniority issue on the RIF, people have waited many years to feel secure in there job and it seems as if the new system want to take that away. I think it is a travesty to just take that away. It is not fair for those of us who have been with the Federal government to be subject to an opinion of a supervisor who may not like us either. What prameter is built into the system to eliminate favoritism and human nature/bais/prejudiceness? Favorites will remain favorites and those who are not will remain as such. Bottom line, I feel that the entire thing needs to scrapped and they need to start over. We will have no rights as employees and there will be nothing in place to stop them from letting us all go. The FAA went through this and a lot of 40 year olds out there have reached the top of their pay scale and they have nowhere to go next.
