I worked with TSA for 15 Months at SEATAC airport. The merit sytem was riddled with problems. The good old boy system ws twice as prevelant as the GS sytem. Far to much Management/Supervisor control. Merit pay increased only about 1% of any pay range. This system is great for Managers bad for employees. I never liked unions but I am sure a fan now. I'm in the GS system now and not looking forward to this change.
