We are speeding a head with this NSPS. On May 16th DOD will send to the BRAC Commission a list of 100 bases to close. We would we rush to spend the Millions of dollars to train all those managers and employees on this NSPS system when within a short period of time all those bases will close. Do you really think those people will invest any time or energy to learn the new NSPS system when they know they are about to lose their jobs at that facility. Why do we not wait until after the BRAC list is announced to implement this new system.I am sure we could better spend those millions on our troops in Iraq and the fight on terror. I also have a question as to why on the first day of the first spiral everyone will be under the new Labor Relation part of the NSPS. Why are we not implementing this in spirals also to see where the bugs are. If this is truly about developing the best new system why are we rushing to do this. I think the answer is plain to all the workers in DOD. This is about busting the union and the workers voice in the workplace. It isn't about anything else. I believe that the NSPS regulations will dismantle the DOD workplace. Workers are already looking at other agencies to go to and work/or working on their retirement paperwork. You will see 100's of years experiance walking out the door that can not be replace. These regulations will leave this nation less safe and you need to really look at that.
