Has anyone considered the impact of the NSPS on the initiatives to encourage risk taking/finding new and innovated ways of doing business? Seems like under NSPS there would be very little reason to take risks, lean forward etc, since if our proposed solutions failed (which is bound to happen sometimes) we would be giving our, newly all empowered, supervisor grounds to fire us. As it reads now, I think the new NSPS will cause very little innovation to be attempted. Why risk when the potential consequence (loss of your job) will far outweigh the potential reward (a better/smarter way of doing things). People will only be willing to risk as so long as their basic (a.k.a. job protections) needs are met first. So if NSPS goes through, let’s all hope the status quo is good enough.
