March 15: I am writing because I am totally opposed to the NSPS that is scheduled for implementation for more than 70,000 employees of the Department of Defense over the next year. This new personnel system is anything but what the name suggests. The NSPS is not new, because it harkens back to dark days of human history where one person dictated to all others what their rights would be. It is not a personnel system, because the NSPS is a control tool used to dictate working conditions to the masses of individuals that have chosen to work for their country. The Constitution of the United States spells out the rights and responsibilities of citizens of this country. The Constituion also provides a balance of power between the branches of our government. The NSPS is usurping the individual rights of those who work for this great country and unbalancing the power of the governement. It is clearly unconstitutional and should be stopped in its tracks now.
