Pay Bands - it is very evident that only the well liked individuals in an organization would ever receive a pay raise. Hiring & Staffing - Does not seem fair that performance should over ride the senority in a retention status during a RIF. If your an older person with high senority (25 or more years of service), you can bet management would get rid of this type of employee, so they can retain the younger crowd. Does not seem fair for the older person who may not be eligible to retire and worked all of their life with the the hope to retire with a good pension. It will force that senior person (age wise) to try and find a job on the outside and today the ourside hiring is geared towards the young crowd. Employees would end up on the Unemployment Line and possibily have to draw welfare to live. Performance Management can only start at the top and if this does not happen, the workforce will be weak no matter what happens. I believe this looked at option of the future needs to be reviewed much deeper than it is. This will really hinder any employee from every receiving a pay raise and be able to pay their bills. I believe this new adoption process should be stopped immediately.
