Fed Register/Vol 70/No.29/pg 7553: The sales pitch for NSPS is that it will provide more oppportunities within DoD. Who will these opportunities be for? New hires? Former DoD contractors? It seems that all the proposals point toward throwing out federal work experience and allowing outside hires to advance more quickly. If this system is implemented, I believe we will see the younger workforce getting paid more and the older workers getting shoved aside and having their pay frozen by management. This is pure age discrimination and will open up the door for major class action lawsuits against the government.
