I am very disturbed about the parts of the new proposed NSPS which have to do with RIF procedures in particular. I am a 30 year Navy veteran and proud of it. According to your new personnel system, I am thrown in the pile along with somebody who did not spend one day serving and protecting their country, i.e. no Veterans Preference. I am also upset, that instead of conducting RIFs by seniority, under the new NSPS, a RIF could consist of dropping an entire Branch, Group, or Division, totally disregarding how many years they have been employed by the Navy, and how well they have performed over the years. totally UNSAT. Please reconsider, and put together a program that will be more compatible with the current day process. In other words - "IF IT IS NOT BROKEN, DO NOT FIX IT" Works for industry !!!!!!
