I am opposed to the proposed NSPS. I believe that it will create many problems and will solve none. It will cause me to fell insecure as an employee of the Defense Department and will reduce my effectiveness and productivity as a federal employee. I had chosen employment with the Corps of Engineers because of the benefits and stability of the current personnel system. If NSPS is implemented I will look for employment at a federal agency that does not operate under NSPS. NSPS will create a workforce that is not driven to do what is right for the country. Instead NSPS will encourage personnel to take credit for a successful project (NSPS bases pay on perceived productivity) and to not take responsibility for an unsuccessful project. Personnel will act more in their own selfish interest rather than doing what is right.
