Having worked previously in the private industry, I have a different outlook on NSPS than most government civilan employees. I feel that the new pay system has its advantages. The one concern that I do have is that some cost of living needs to be a guarantee for workers that are at least satisfactory employees. As long as an employee is doing the work, even if it not above expectations, they should not have to suffer and not be able to make ends meet. Everything costs more these days, the essentials of food, medicine and insurance, and especially natural gas and gasoline. Workers need to be paid a cost of living to keep up with these increased costs.
