Subpart D performance management There is no way the DoD can issue fair performance standards based on the vague guidance of the NSPS regulations. It all depends on these implementing issuances that will come out later, supposedly to be collaborated with the employee representatives but in actuallity will be arbitrarily thrust upon people. Why not open the avanue that people can grieve or sue in federal court over arbitrary standards? Supervisors already don't give any feedback to employees on a regular basis. If people can be removed within 30 days for failure to perform, then supervisors ought to be required to meet with each employee on a monthly basis to review performance. If supervisors monitored the work of employees and gave them monthly feed back sessions, then the employees would be more certain that they are meeting or exceeding standards. People say that employees can meet with their supervisors right now under these current system and ask for perfomance feedback, but it all still depends on the willingness of the supervisor to provide this feedback. How can you make him do it? If supervisors met once a month with each employee, then they would be doing more of the job they are supposed to be doing, which is supervising.
