Subpart D My hope for this system is one that genuinely addresses performance and one that rewards (through increased pay) the work of supervisors and managers. To receive the identical pay of a co-worker who does not have the same burden of supervision is aggregious. On the other hand, managers/supervisors who abuse the current appraisal and subsquently, the new system should be penalized-I'm not clear that pay pool managers will eliminate managers/supervisors who do not hold employees accountable and therefore, are themselves, contributing to weaknesses in both systems. 9901.355 (b) what is the purpose of the 2nd sentence: a retained rate will be compared to the range of rates of basic pay applicable to the employee's position. What will be done with the comparison?
