9901.212 When you are converted to the pay band system, what happens if your present salary is more than the pay band limit? Does this mean you will lose pay and also will not get any raises? Or will there be a waiver? If no waiver is possible this would adversely affect retirement benefits if you are within a few years of retiring, even though this would not change the retirement system. Therefore implementation of NSPS would very definitely adversely affect future benefits received and make it impossible to plan for future retirement with all the unknowns. Let those who are under CSRS opt out of the NSPS system so we can retire under the system we signed on for.
