NSPS in general is a system that sugar coats what it truly represents and does not have the majority of employees best interest at hand. I've stayed abreast on most to all of the information on nsps as it becomes available. It seems that seniority over longevity out weighs the two. I think it's very unfair to not give the employees their rightfully earned step increases something that longevity and comittment is the main factor. This is in need of re-thinking. Give us our pay increases each year and also our step increases. Pay for Performance should be a given regardless if this system is implemented or not. Yes, this system will have a barren on our retirement since the amount we earn and time in will impact the amount we receive once we retire. NSPS puts too much authority in the hands of supervisors and managers. I am not a brown noser and do not plan on being one. My work/performance speaks for itself. After all, it's a job and a job that is done with great satisfaction. I don't need for someone to determine if I should or should not get a bonus of some sort. We all are on a mission, and that mission is to do the very best job we can do no matter what incentives are on the table! I would also like to add the fact that the military people are very much needed in the work place. Most of us have jobs because of military facilities. Leave them alone. Don't try to justify sending them out to war zone areas/missions because you want civilians to fill their slots. Just be upfront and honest and say you need them to support a war that has so much uncertainty. This nsps is just another way of taking money from the employees by not giving us our step increases etc., and applying it to the overwhelming deficit in which has made a very large and direct impact on this war situation. Robbing Peter to pay Paul. This whole nsps process was done underhandedly and now with short notice-we the people,the one's most affected by nsps are rushed to comment. Most folks are not even aware of the impact that this system will have on them! Shame on you. NSPS= FASCISM AND DICTATORSHIP.
