9901.352 Setting pay upon reassignment I do not understand why pay should be reset upon transfer to another job. If a person is moved to a new job, there is no way to know if contribution or performance is going to differ from that in the old job because no work has been done in the new job. This seems like a golden opportunity for managers to easily reduce pay for employees who do not agree with them. Of course, if disagreement is discouraged, the "high performance" culture will be undermined because of a lack of a diversity of ideas.
