I have a concern about not receiving a cost of living raise. Tying a cola to performance does not make any sense an employee could be a good worker and the boss does not like them because he/she feels threatened by that persons performance so he/she won't get a raise. This undermines the values that we were thaught as children to do a good job and get the rewards. So if a person is a friend of the boss and a mediocre worker at best he/she will get the rewards and the person that does a good job gets nothing.
