I RECENTLY BECAME A GS EMPLOYEE (2005), AFTER BEING A NURSE IN THE MAINSTREAM POPULATION FOR MANY YEARS. I HAVE BEEN EXTREMELY IMPRESSED WITH THE THOROUGHNESS OF ORIENTATION/TRAINING I AM RECEIVING. ALSO THE BENEFITS AND SERVICES AVAILABLE TO ME BECAUSE I AM A GS EMPLOYEE ARE ALSO GREAT. BUT IF THE REGULATIONS CHANGE AS PROPOSED, IE TO INCLUDE THE POSSIBILITY OF ME BEING DEPLOYED W/O MY CONSENT OR DESIRE, AS WELL AS SOME OF THE OTHER PROPOSED CHANGES THAT WERE NOT INPLACE WHEN I TOOK THIS JOB I WILL HAVE TO CONSIDER RESIGNING, AS WELL AS MANY OTHER EMPLOYEES . PLEASE DO NOT TRY TO IMPOSE ON THE GS WORKERS THE SAME RULES THAT YOU PLACE ON ACTIVE DUTY PERSONNNEL. WE HAVE TWO DIFFERENT MISSIONS, AND WHEN WE TOOK OUR JOBS WE AGREED TO VERY DIFFERENT MISSIONS. THANK YOU----------- HAPPY GS EMPLOYEE.
