I am at the last step of my grade, and no matter how many times I ask for additional duties, I am not given any. I was told when taking this job and from time to time, that my job would be upgraded; but nothing has happened. So this new pay band will not help me at all, because my supervisor is content with what I do now, which is a little of nothing. I see a lot of favoritism when cash award time comes around and imagine I will continue to see it even more with this new system. So in my opinion, this new system sucks for the little man.
