To reduce the power of local union representation is unconstitutional. When you take away the right's of workers to defend themselves against unfair labor and firing practices, you are destroying the foundation of democracy. It reminds me of communism, where workers have no rights. Who the hell is the President think he is to permit this. Also, the General pay scale works just fine. Those individual who excel at their duties are given special raises such as SSP and QSI's. The poor performers are only getting a cost of living increase that never keeps up with health insurance increases or inflation. The new system is a farce! It is just something to give managers the lawful edge to dole out money to favorites and bring in people without fair competition. It is a disgrace. I have no respect for the president, the defense secretary and all others who spearheaded this massive cover to take away fairness and the ability to file grivances. If I have no local union rights and one person decides my fate; then I am no better than a slave.
