I have worked for the Government for 20 years. When I came here I thought how nice it was that there was some place to work the would employee people who were not quite perfect. I'm heavy. I had a chance here but not in private industry. I worked with some of the smartest people I have ever worked with. I had other jobs before working here and no matter what laws there are, discrimination happens. These very smart people would not have been hired outside the government. Their brains would have been lost. Now with this law the same discrimination will be in DOD. I became a superviser and I would have not been given that chance outside the governent. This new law makes me sad because it will start now to harm all the, "Not so perfect but smart" people there are here. I think built in to this new program is a way to rid the workforce of older people. The raises will go to friends now because nothing can stop it. We will go back to a "Man's" world where women have to be flirty and attractive to get a better salary. The fairness that was the Government will be no more.
