What is the mechanism for providing specific feedback regarding supervisor performance? Good employees are sometimes serving under poor supervisors who do not have proper experience or temperment. These supervisors do not give good guidance as well as adequate work to the employees. The supervisor then gives poor ratings based on poor guidance and lack of work. How is the supervisor held accountable for his or her poor performance? A pay for performance system works well when all parties involved have sufficient incentive to perform.
