I think this is just terrible. If the whole world was fair it might work but as we all know the world is not fair! My boss is unfair and vindictive - where does this leave me and the others in our office. Where does this leave other workers in the same situation? This sounds more and more like a dictatorship! With too much at stake for one person to have the power to stop pay raises or determine a person's fate in their job. It's going to require employees to be faithful to their supervisor, right or wrong, legal or illegal! Why would you do away with the union? I just found out today that our office is scheduled to go under this system in July. No one has briefed us or even given us any idea of this and not even mentioned to us that we were going to be a part of this in July. You are effecting people's lives without giving them any knowledge of how this will effect them. We thought this change was only for the Air Force personnel on our base not all of DOD! Another example of railroading something through. Does this not throw us into the same situation as Enron and Worldcom? Also, I have 33 years of civil service, in the event of a RIF I do not think it is fair to have someone with less time be able to keep their job and I could lose mine. Who makes this decision? The vindictive supervisor.
