I have reviewed the NSPS regulation posted on the Federal Register. Yes, it is flexible. In the wrong hands, that flexibility could be very detrimental to all DOD employees. Rights that we have today will be or could be taken away. There appears to be some very gray areas, where based upon interpretation, could be manipulated to remove even more of our rights. If this system is supposed to be so great, why is it just targeted to DOD and not the entire Government? I have 25 years of service as a DOD employee. I have been fortunate enough to make it through two RIFs without being impact. I would like to believe that I would be able to finish out my government career and not have additional worries to be concerned about.
