I work for the Louisville Corps of Engineers. I have been told that I do not have what it takes to be a supervisor in Engineering Division(I am nice to people and respect them) - All I can say is THANK GOD. I do not respect my supervisors as human beings and I sure don't want these bozos to have as much power as they will have under the new system. As far as I am concerned, they should be fired. The funny thing is, though, they keep bringing in the same type people that they are - it has always been that way and the person that they have selected is the same way(yes, he has been pre-selected years ago). It is like they keep breeding. My question is, then, how can these bozos be trained to be human beings. Oh, by the way, they would not know honesty, integrity, and courage even if it came and bit them on the butt. So why are these people tolerated. I think it attests to the fact that Governement leaders believe that employees are lazy and shiftless and should be squashed whenever possible. Does anyone really care that the Division can't get estimates done right, our Civil Works customers are unhappy that we don't deliver what we promise, some of our good military customers are unhappy, and the Reserves are threatening to take work away from us. I even heard of a shouting match between PMs and ED management regarding lack of support.Come to Louisville and let the real Good ol boys teach you how it is done. You guys missed the problem - MANAGEMENT IS THE PROBLEM.
