Sec.9901.342 Performance Payouts It is my concern that if an employee is given a set of duties that are more complex but are within his or her department, that no money will be paid for that employee as the set of duties will fall under "other duties as assigned." Currently, employees are expected to do anything asked of them under this statement. A set of duties outside that lasts more than six months outside of the usual job should require a salary increase. If an individual performs a service that is outside of the usual job and this job becomes unique to the facility, then that individual shoud be given that job that he or she developed. Depending on value of the position, a salary increase should accompany the position. Expertise needed to perform the job that was developed by the individual is lost when turned over to another who frames it differently and it then loses its target goal. Again, there needs to be accountability that whoever grants the position(s) does so fairly and needs to be held accountable for placing favorites in positions. I've seen it for many years that it does not matter who works the best, it's who you know and it costs the company.
