I would appreciate more discussion on the flexibilities in the new system for reassigning personnel within the Department of Defense. As an employee assigned overseas, I had a great deal of difficulty finding a position in the United States following the completion of a five year tour. A military reassignment seems to be much easier than a civilian reassignment. Too much employee time is spent looking for promotion and reassignment opportunities. Supervisors and management should also help with the "matchmaking process." When an employee outgrows their current set of responsibilities, management should have the flexibility to grow the responsibilities and compensate accordingly or find another position for their employee to grow into.
