I’m really concerned about the change to work rules in the NSPS regulations. I have worked for DoD for several years. I have been a hard-working employee and have gone way beyond the call of duty in getting the job done. These proposals are mistreating the employee’s rights and in the long run hurt the agency’s mission. This system will completely change the pay increases, pay bonuses, evaluations, promotions, hiring & firing & how the civilians will be treated. Mgmt always has their favorites & the employees that they would love to get rid of because they just don’t like them. That is completely wrong. It seems the employees will not have any rights anymore & will not be serving the civil concerns of the American people. What is the US coming to? We have rights. Next thing, they will be telling what we should or shouldn’t say. As far as annual pay raises go, I am very concerned about that. I rely on my paycheck every payperiod to ensure I can provide for my family. I look forward & count on my step increase because I am a great employee. I work hard everyday & currently I am rewarded for the great job that I do. That’s a very important incentive for me. If we didn’t receive those bonuses or salary increase, the morale of government employees would go down hill. Once the morale goes downhill, the quality of the job goes downhill, therefore it will cost twice as much money to make sure the work is done correctly. I don’t care who works for the govt, anyone would get the attitude ‘why should I do anything, because I won’t get appreciated anyway’. Our lives shouldn’t depend on how you get along with your boss. They might not like the way you look or jealous for some reason or another. As long as you get the job done, that’s what counts. If your boss didn’t like you for whatever reason and they would hold a vendetta against you, you might as well leave the agency because there is no incentive to stay. Your life is in their hands. If this happened to all the govt employess then we should have the right to control Mr. Rumsfield’s salary, bonuses, firing him, etc. Everyone who is in favor of these changes, then I have the right to change their lives too. They need to be treated the same way we are treated which I am sure that will never happen. I would love to ruin their lives just as they will ruin ours. The policitians have already negotiated their salaries so who cares about the workers. We have no rights! I don’t think so. Our rights have been violated & we have absolutely nothing to say about it. If we don’t have any rights anymore than we need to change the constitution. Schedules & overtime issues are totally unreasonable. In the past, the government has been so concerned about trying to make it a little easier on parents with children & family & being able to earn credit hours to help the employees out in taking care of their family/children. What about the friendly family leave act. Did that just go out the window because of the employee needs to take care of their family? I am all about working overtime or working credit hours when needed with advance notice because I know I need to get the job done, but if it is last minute we can’t make arrangements for our children and other important responsibilities. Do you want them to sit at home with no one to watch them? If something would happen to them, I am going to hold you responsible for it because you are the ones trying to change the regulations. Don’t you have children of your own that you care about? I’m sure you do. It’s not right to completely change our lives whether professional or personal side. That’s when you are crossing the line. I can’t even believe you are talking about deploying federal employees & then if they refuse you may get fired. I did not join the military. That's why they joined. I urge you to rethink about this proposal. We as the people have rights. We need rules that are legal and fair to the people that help our country
