Staffing and Employment Probationary Periods This document outlines a subjective, punitive system that does nothing to promote, much less reward, loyalty and dedication to one’s job. One less than outstanding evaluation after years of sustained and documented outstanding work could lead to an employee’s dismissal. There is no assurance that all supervisors will be equally qualified to train, guide, and rate employees. Words like “supervisors should provide assistance to help new employees” does not indicate a requirement to do so. This document will affect the lives of thousands of people who deserve some assurance that all employees will be treated fairly and equally.
