Why are we even bothering to send comments? The way I have read the info, it's already a done deal. I totally disagree with this change, but does it matter to anyone? No. Did anyone see where President Bush has admitted that his plan for Social Security won't solve the SSI problem? You think?? When is someone going to admit that this pay system may not be the best for the workforce. Is the US Government going to do anything that will cost them more money?? No. So the decrease is hidden somewhere in this system. I am a 10 year federal employee and I perform my job very well. However, who is stupid enough to believe that some type of training can take bias and favoritism out of supervisors? NOT GOING TO HAPPEN. I don't care if you are a good performer, all supervisors are not fair and never will be --regardless of the training. And that's what we all need --MORE TRAINING! The Good Ole Boys Club will rise again. The representatives in DC will probably hear the butt-kissing from all the way across the country. I think there will be a significant increase in the number of EEO Claims filed over unfair pay. We need to ask ourselves why this unfair system is being forced on us under the guise of Homeland Security. I'm sure the answer will be if you don't like working here, then you can leave. I feel that this is the first of many bad, bad things in our future. (If we even have a future anymore)
