This new system takes away all the rights of the workers and reverts us back to the days of slave labor and sweatshops where the Masters and Labor Lords had all the control and the workforce was treated abusively and had no rights. This causes even more corruption in management. You will be giving them complete power to mistreat their employees. As it is now, there is extreme favoritism used by managers when it comes to rewards. The employees that suck up to their bosses are always the ones that receive the awards. Sometimes the young female employee that wears revealing clothing gets the awards from a male boss, regardless of her value as a productive employee. For the last ten years or so, I've witnessed a boss give awards to her favorite employees, based solely on the fact that she likes them the best, and not on their value in the workforce or their value as team members. I witnessed them get by with coming in late, leaving early, taking long lunches, surfing the internet, bidding on online EBay auction items, having email chats, and long personal phone calls, yet, the boss liked them the best, so she gave the awards to them, year after year. But, at least the rest of us could count on receiving our current pay and could count on receiving our much-deserved automatic raises and could count on some amount of job security and protection to keep our jobs. By taking away the rights of the employee, and placing all the power in the hands of the managers, you are further promoting unfair and corrupt behavior from managers. The very fact that the managers can withhold any raises you might receive, and worse than that, can actually take away pay from employees by putting them in a lower pay band, is absolutely horrifying to me! I work for and depend on every dime I get from my job to keep my family alive and keep us off the streets! If my boss would get annoyed with me, over nothing important, and take away part of my current income, my family could be forced to lose everything we have! Please don't give that power to the managers, to take away everything I've worked so hard for. A good example is that my current boss has emotional issues, and if she gets angry over personal problems with her family or friends, she becomes emotionally explosive and will take it out on us! She's been on various medications for mood disorders. It's scary to put a lot of power in her hands, understanding that she is emotionally unbalanced! We deal with it as best we can, and we humor her and take her disability into consideration, whenever she is dealing harshly and abusively with us. We just take the tongue-lashing that she is giving us, and we just try to move on and do our work. Also, while enjoying the power she currently has, she gives us menial and useless tasks to complete and we have to do them, just because she says so, and for no good reason, or she gets extremely upset! To give her the power over our income, and give her the power over whether we retain our jobs or not, is very wrong! During her emotionally unbalanced moments, she could fire us, refuse to give us our pay raises or reduce our income by putting us in a lower pay band, and there'd be almost nothing we could do about it! Giving managers complete control also will cause sexual misconduct to resurface. You are giving the managers complete power to fire, or take away pay from, the employee that turns down the opportunity to advance their career through sexual favors. Over the past 100 years, people have fought and died for the workforce, to provide them with freedoms, job protection and a safe work environment free from harassment and abuse, please don't take all that away. Please reconsider, and re-evaluate this new system. It is damaging to the entire workforce.
