Agency: Department of Commerce, National Processing Center Docket ID: NSPS-2005-001 RIN #: 3206-AK76 Subpart A -- General Provisions Sec 9901.105 Coordination with OPM part (b) The Secretary should not be allowed to excluded any employees from any of the protections granted to them under federal law now. DoD employees have worked successfully under these very laws for many years and there should be no reason now that any category of employees should be treated differently now under the new system than they have been treated under the current Civil Service System. If flexability is what the Secretary is after, then make changes to the current Civil Service System, don't grant him the authority to place all DoD employees under some new system that does not value the employees themselves.
