I have read that this is going to benefit the civilian employees in many ways, but I also am reading that these jobs are going to become like the jobs you may have with any coorporation off base and there is no job security with these companies which is why I have enjoyed working with the government. I am also the spouse of an Active Duty Military member and reley on my career following me or having the ability to stay in the system with all of my leave, etc. and taking on another position. This process that has been decided is basically making the government civilian employee Coorporate Workers. I am really concerned at whom we have making these decissions because it seems to me that with each passing year that decissions are being made that are affecting our bases, Military and civilian government employees. If it continues as it is then we are going to end up without a voluntary military to protect this great country and will have nothing but contractors (which I doubt will be going and fighting for our freedom) and the draft will end up having to be restarted. I don't understand why the need to change things that are working fine just so they are changed. Where does it state that our Men and Women whom are serving our country and protecting our rights and freedoms should have to suffer with low income, seperation from their families, and now having to worry about their spouses having work and career advances which was guaranteed with the process as it has been for many years. I can relate to the pay being decided by work performance because it is totally unfair for someone who does twice the work as another not to recieve more money, but if there is an employee not doing their share of the work load then they shouldn't be working there in the first place. Would it be difficult for the individuals whom are in charge to actually consider the posibility that if they did listen and follow regulations then the issues that brought this all about would be null and void anyways. I know for a fact that there are people in supervisory positions which do not belong there for a number of reasons but the main one is that they do not know how to be a manager and they do not even know regulations. These are people making a great deal of money and will now have the ability to make a judgement call on our preformance so if they have any annomocity or show favoritism then the others are going to be getting the short end of the deal. What is supose to be done in those cases. I love our Country and I have great respect for each and every member of the Military whom are sacrificing every day for every individual in the great nation but it is getting really difficult to understand why our higher official DO NOT stand up and honor them the way they should by paying them what they should be paid for putting their lives in danger to protect ours. They are not even close to the salary of what the civilians are paid and WHAT ARE THEY RISKING AND GIVING UP for DUTY, HONOR AND CORE? They go months, a year without seeing wives, husbands, children and some do not get to come home, but every individual living in this Country, giving their advice on every situation the Government handles live in peace, pleasant family life and don't have to worry about not ever seeing their families again. These are the same people who are making decissions on our jobs, pay and other information that doesn't effect them. PLEASE LISTEN TO THE INDIVIDUALS WHO THIS WILL AFFECT AND TAKE INTO CONSIDERATION THAT A MAJORITY OF THESE ARE SPOUSES AND LOVED ONES. WE SHOULD MATTER TOO! PLEASE SHOW OUR MILITARY AND FAMILIES THAT IT IS WORTH WHAT WE ENDURE AND NOT JUST A SACRIFICE THAT WILL BE A REGRET LATER FROM LACK OF SUPORT AND APPRECIATION. My family have been Military and I have heard numerous stories about how GREAT the Military is and what an honor it was to be part of such a unit and NOW we can buy merchandise cheeper off base, so why have AAFEE's
