I have worked for the federal government for 32 years experiencing and adjusting to many changes. NSPS is the most unfair change yet. In the past 10 years, civil servants have been required to pick up workload from positions that are abolished and in many cases are overworked with no growth potential except the possibility of a step raise and a yearly cost of living raise for their efforts. NSPS takes away these raises and places them in the mercy of the good and bad managers. That supervisor has no control over the rapidly rising prices of gas, groceries and day to day necessities, which we are dependent on these type raises. The federal government is turning their back on their employees - it is as simple as that. Although I will retire soon, I am deeply concerned for the new workforce.
