Regarding labor relations........ This (nsps) is clearly the low-water mark, in labor relations in my 25 years with the federal government. The union (meba in my case) has been marginalized to the point where it is insulting to and for them, to even pretend to represent mariners, in such a hostile (management) environment. The good news is......... this is all reversable (although it will take another presidential election for it to happen). While this system will clearly make the federal government the last choice for top shelf prospective employees, the depth of experience and dedication of existing dod employees, should be able to carry on the mission until the nsps system is scrapped. Shame on all of us for letting this happen.
