I haven't yet had time to review the entire document, but I hope, whatever the final form of the NSPS, that it will provide a fair and equitable system. This would be a far cry from the system that's being replaced. However, I'm also anxious that it may inadvertently make a bad system worse. It may look good on paper, but will it transform as planned? Also, I can retire in the next few years, and I would consider it a form of age discrimination if I found that the new system diminished the amount of my pension, for which I have labored long and hard for over the years. Unfortunately, dedication and competency is often overlooked and underappreciated in favor of those more politically astute and well-connected, but far less competent and devoted to their jobs.
