General Provisions; Pay and Pay Administration - Subpart C It is mentioned that the pay band adjustments will be done at DoD discretion within each applicable market. It subsequently provides a "share range" within rating levels (Perfomance Based Pay). What happens when an employee is at the ceiling of a pay band? Do they get a pay increase based upon the rating level, or are they otherwise compensated (such as a bonus vs a pay increase)? Is there an expectation to increase the maximum for each band annually, or somewhat less frequently? If they do not receive their pay compensation consistent with the share range they have earned, will this be redistributed to the pay pool? Are their provisions for these "ceiling" employees to have split increases in their compensation, such as an employee earning a share range of 7, receiving 4 in a pay increase and 3 as a bonus?
