I have been watching the preliminary announcements of the NSPS Proposed Regulations with glee. As an overseas Child and Youth Program Training and Curriculum Specialist with a Master's Degree in Organization and Superivision, I am finding this huge cultural shift in hiring practices a relief beyond measure. I wish it could happen sooner! I have already implemented 6 month staff Goals and Objectives into our workforce, but without the directive to implement it, it is bumbling along. Some staff see the value, and have welcomed both help with professional goals and the consistent feedback. As a trainer of Supervisors and implementing Performance-Based Evaluations, I would like to be more a part of the implementation, particularly the training stages of this huge new system.
