Bill unfurled to require all-American government flags

She may be a grand old flag -- but half-made in America won't fly anymore.
A House bill that is expected to pass this week under suspension would require all American flags purchased for use by the federal government to be made entirely in the United States. But that's not all.
Old Glory would also have to be made "from articles, materials or supplies entirely grown, produced, or manufactured in the United States," under the bill sponsored by Rep. Bruce Braley, D-Iowa.
Right now, U.S. flags acquired by the government must be constructed of at least 50 percent American-made materials.
